Britain has significantly higher unemployment among black people and the young than America because de-industrialisation and a flexible labour market have created a more unequal society, research says.

The Court of Appeal has ruled that a voluntary worker is not entitled to protection from discrimination on the grounds of disability under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, nor under the European Framework Directive.
