The Court of Appeal has ruled that a voluntary worker is not entitled to protection from discrimination on the grounds of disability under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, nor under the European Framework Directive.
According to the Guardian, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, which supported the appeal, has described the decision as unfair, and is currently considering taking the case to the Supreme Court.
